Why? Why not have the government stop? This argument of yours is liking
saying when a guest to party at your house starts acting rude, you should
leave -- not him. Of course, government (pick any one) does a lot more than
just be rude. It taxes, regulates, fines, jails, and kills. This despite
consitutions, legal traditions, checks and balances, and the like. The
failure of such mechanisms seems to speak to the matter of eliminating
government all together, but even if that's not immediately doable let's not
try to make it any bigger, stronger, or more all encompassing than it is.
Cheers!
