Doubt it. We can't get down that far. The vacuum tunnel notion
is really all just an interesting thought experiment. Besides, the
gravity gradient doesn't go *much* above 1 g. I figured it peaks
around 1.2g, depending on how much you trust the density gradient
of the earth model, which is of necessity speculative to a certain
extent. Even to get to 1.2 g peak, you need to dig down 2900 km.
