It seems to me 5 burly terrorists armed with knives who want to die
against 200 unarmed men woman and children who want to live is

Nice theory, but like any theory if it doesn't fit the experimental evidence
it must be abandoned. Pilots on the Israeli airline El Al have long been
armed and they haven't had a hijacking in almost 30 years.
