I just walked into this thread, but I agree with Robert that journalists often present a half-baked perspective of an issue for either sensationalized reporting (on the brim of yellow-dog), or for a specific slant. If this is false reporting, it's a mighty big slant.

I'm not in my studio, but if you send me the article URL, or the case, I'll look it up and try to uncover the facts of the case.
