I'm not surprised. Such a view of 'intelligence' is inherent in a
culture that is overwhelmingly tribalistic. Their society is not
scientific, not technological in any sense of having true home grown
technological base. Thus, innovation and creativity are threats to the
stasism of tribalistic memes.
