"Posthumous" is not derived from anything meaning post-human. I've seen a
couple different etymological explainations for the "-humous" part, having
to do with either the Latin "humus" (earth) or humâre (to bury). I believe
I also recall something a while back which referred to the Latin word for
"humor." But nothing like "human."
