The best HE flux compression generators powering fusion devices described
in the open literature (whom am I bulshitting, open literature in this
case is equal to a few Google sessions) seem to have a larger kill radius
due to neutrons than due to HE alone (few metric tons). I could imagine
this is not the ceiling, especially if you consider sudden availability of
a HE with 50% higher energy density.
Of course, prime application for this would be core assembly of classical
fission primaries, I could imagine much smaller and cleaner nukes, which
yield would overlap with classical weapons.
