You mean autonomous battlebots? I've heard that such do exist, but as
exibition matches only. They tend to get distracted and stuck and,
frankly, suck in action compared to the remote controlled ones.
If AI were further along, or if someone could come up with a good
program, *then* it would become cool. And attract lots of funding.
But this problem must be solved before the desired results can be
achieved. (Not that the problem isn't worth tackling despite that, as
many would-be autonomous bot builders can attest. ^_^)
