That is what it essentially comes down to: we will be vastly different (should we make it that far). Someone earlier mentioned subjective time to an immortals and what that would mean, but we are forgetting that if mankind is able to make himself immortal, then it makes sense that we would probably be able to manipulate our minds to such a degree that whatever feeling or emotion we want to feel, we should be able to feel, and for as long as we want. So much for the stereotypical Bored Immortal....
