This looks mighty dodgy...

Private rocket launch is 'suicidal'

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_1407000/1407210.stm

>British rocket experts are denouncing as suicidal the latest plans of
>controversial rocket engineer Steve Bennett.
>Just watch me. 'Seeing is believing', I say to my critics
>Steve Bennett
>If he goes ahead with them, he could well be killed, and the burgeoning
>British rocketry effort will be permanently stuck on the launch pad, they
>warn.

It doesn't look like the X-Prize will be won anytime soon, but if this guy
frags himself up there it might have repercussions not just for British
rocketry, but for privately-funded space shot attempts in general.

Well, I'm off on vacation to sunny VA, I'll see you all when I return in a
couple of weeks.

Take care,

James...
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and
crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures
to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid."
