Is the theory testable?
Since magnetic fields in the local solar system and universe at large, are
vastly enormous; even if we built a super-ship that uses magnetic propulsion,
it would be only negligible in comparative impact. More importantly, the
article suggests that universe's acceleration might be of recent vintage.
Hence the discoveries by the Perlmutter team, 3 years ago, may simply end up
to be an anomaly. Another formulation suggests that the big bang was less
important then a plasma-based astrophysical galaxy formation, as suggested by
Swedish Physicist Johannes Alfvens.
