No, I was refering to our chat about dust, having a memory storage capacity,
and not exclusively, Tipler's Omegas. Eugene, has taken the position that
Omegas or anything else is unlikely. Eugene thinks that if you want past
information re: human survival, freezing is a poor, but still the best bet,
out of a bad, bunch. Hopefully, I am relating his position correctly.
My position is that we examine all possibilities, provided by science. I
believe the jury is still out, Eugene holds that we have enough info to
discard some unlikely conjectures, such as omega points. I would also look to
see what Lee Smolin and Vilenkin have to offer, as they are the most
prominent of future-oriented physicists.
