I exhort: don't worry about those things anyway. They're
non-issues. The only issue is how much (if any) sacrifice
of you and your wife's happiness is at stake.
A person's existence (chance for life) hangs in the
balance. But don't feel bad either way that you decide.
Our civilization has not evolved moral norms for this yet
that should cause guilt here.
