Rafal Smigrodzki enunciated some interesting supergoals:
(I'm not claiming I understand deeply yet the Eliezer/Hal
discussion of goals and supergoals so far.)
> My supergoals are (in the most recent and general wording):
> 1) Thou shalt not infringe the life-wish of innocent sentients
> (or else you are guilty and your wishes are for nought)
good
> 2) The quest for knowledge shall continue unabated
good
> 3) Thou shalt not take beyond what is your due but you may
> be given more
> Whatever it means.
Huh? What does "Whatever it means" mean? :-)
How do we determine "what is [our] due"?
I submit for a supergoal: "The complete utilization of
as much matter as possible in the universe as thinking,
experiencing, and enjoying."
