It got reserved for AIs and posthumans. These days I have a coin that I
flip to find out what gender a modern-day human is.
This happened because:
1) I realized that neutrality is also a gender. Calling a modern-day
human "ve" is as false as calling a (genderless) AI "he".
2) Syntactic sugar makes it easier to disambiguate between humans and AIs
in sentences.
