Max frankly admitted that some people erroneously view Extropianism as a cult
and asked for suggestions about how to correct that misperception. I offer
one: Address the cult question on the website and offer a balanced reply,
along the lines of Max's post but also including one or more authoritative
definitions of "cult," that plainly shows the fault with such accusations.
Doing so in the (for now nonexistent) FAQ ought to suffice, though perhaps
the cult claim arises with sufficient frequency to justify giving the
explanation its own link.

Better, I think, to offer on the homepage a more general link along the lines
of "Criticism of Extropianism." The link alone would help to disprove the
cult claim. That heading should also, by the way, include links to off-site
critics, lest the entire exercise appear as merely a means of raising and
demolishing unfairly weakened objections.
