Ok, so you're protoplasm, but what protoplasm? Your atoms are constantly
changing, just like an ocean wave. The important thing about an ocean wave
is the way it makes water react, they can move for thousands of miles but
they transport no matter, they just cause the water to move in a small circle
and end up where they started. A grammarian would disagree but I think
such a wave is more an adjective than a noun too.

Are you sure? Was the two year old Harvey Newstrom you? How about the two
day old Harvey Newstrom? How about the zygote Harvey Newstrom? I don't think
identity or survival is an all or nothing matter.
