Japanese Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa apologized
today for saying that his country is on the cusp of
financial collapse because of massive debt.
Miyazawa said he should not have used
the word catastrophe to describe the fiscal condition,
but said that the situation is very serious.
Japan's debt is the biggest of the developed word.
