I am extrapolating forward in the context of the present legal system.
Police agencies cannot generally install spy devices inside private
homes since people have an expectation of privacy there. However when
outdoors in public places there is no expectation of privacy since anyone
can see what you are doing. So I predict that surveillance will become
widespread in public places but will not occur in private homes.
