Normally I'd agree, but in the current climate I think it's the best
option. We all know the sky won't fall in if they are successful, but by
putting it out there in the open they focus attention on it and get people
used to the idea. The media hullaballoo surrounding the first test tube
babies resulted in mental saturation, with the effect that people got used
to it very quickly, and within a short period of time it was a
non-issue. Just wait till juniors' cute little face is seen on TV with
"Mummy" and Daddy, and hearts will melt, and attitudes change.

It could turn out to be just the public relations coup that's so badly needed.

Slan,

James....

"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and
crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures
to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid."
-Q, Star Trek:TNG episode 'Q Who'
