I want both. And I believe both belong here. Both the dream and the
technical realities that will give the dream life. I think it is a
mistake to separate the two too far in oneself or in a group of people
like this.

A middle ground would be to keep one list and prefix special interest
messages. That is quite easily to sort in most mail readers if one
really doesn't care for some types of message.
