Here's a sad story about the Osprey that broke yesterday:

I wouldn't want to be Lt. Col. Leberman.
The truth is probably now going to come out that the Osprey is WAY short of
operational capability and that it may be simply too complex and unstable in
transitional flight for current guidance and maintenance systems. Reminds me
of the old 1950s military saying about reciprocating engine-powered
helicopters: "ten thousand parts flying in loose formation" . . .
