I was afraid of this, too. Does anybody remember "Windows 95" hype
claiming that it would change the direction of technology forever?
Sure, it was a great improvement over Windows 3.1, but it was not a
fundamental change to how computers work. Macintosh, OS/2 and
Windows 3.1 already looked very similar to what Windows 95 turned out
to be. Likewise, I assume this new invention will be a definite
advance forward in some field, but hype about designing entire cities
around it are almost certainly exaggerated.
It may merely turn out to be a powered scooter with gyroscopes that
keep it from tipping over.
