Sure, unless the yeast, mushrooms, and other fungi fed off of animal
products (i.e. worms......) Since many such fungi produce anti-biotics
which kill even some multi-celled organisms, and feed off of the
carcasses of said victims, such fungi should be out of bounds...

Moreover: what is the policy on eating predatory plants like venus
flytraps?
