Dont give up on me. What is messing me up is trying to
figure out if the hydrodynamic impact models are applicable
to collisions with debris at .1c. I actually suspect it isnt a
good model, but I havent figured out a better one yet. The
hydrodynamic impact model is better suited to impacts at
a few km/sec to the upper experimental limits of perhaps
40 km/sec, whereas I am proposing using it at 30,000 km/sec.
If I blindly extend the conservation of momentum arguments,
then I find that interstellar hydrogen is going to be a much
bigger erosion causer than the little bit of dust out there. Theres
a guy at work I need to talk to who will be back first week
of January who is my guru in such matters.
Also, we are most likely reinventing the wheel here. I want
to get with it and find what has already been published.
