I remember hearing about it w/in a few hours of when it occured and felt I
was able to get plenty of timely info. But I'm a confirmed aerospace nut and
have been following the V-22 since long before it was the "Osprey". (I well
remember the similar-sized LTV tilt-rotor in which the whole wing tilted; it
suffered from a power failure right after takeoff on one of its early flights
and gently settled into very shallow water in the lake at the end of LTV's
runway -- the crew managed to escape unharmed. Made a funny pic in AvWeek.)
