I think I saw it on Drudge's site first and then on CNN... I think Drudge
linked to the story for a couple of days...

Subject: V22 Osprey
The V22 Osprey tilt rotor will be a big leap forward in the
convenience of travel within cities, if the Boeing guys
manage to work out the inherent difficulties with the
craft. Skyscrapers could have one on the roof, or they
could hop from one large building to the next in a kind
of air taxi service.
A couple weeks ago, during the height of the presidential
election debacle, an Osprey crashed, killing all four propels
aboard. Unlike the previous V22 crash, the news media
scarcely mentioned the tragic event, nor did they say anything
much about the fact that the pilot was the one person who
had more time at the controls than anyone.

Now then, question please: how many of those of you who
are aircraft fans heard about the accident? I talked to several
guys who knew nothing about it. I find this remarkable that
such an important story went largely unnoticed. spike
