I don't think this is actually true or realistic, Eli. I love
science, but it's certainly not the main draw. If so, it would
become a homogenous same-same-voice that thinks it has a leg
up on intriguing notions. Too much emphasis on science is like
communicating with a single processing power.
Edgy high-tech future shock? Hey, relax and olfac-flex. Extropic
thinking in its finest produces a well organized system of knowledgeable
behaviors performing in a synergistic capacity, and not run on
any single slice of science.
Alluring and mind-spanking ideas about SI are created by multi-task
mental architects, not dogmatized profession mongers.
