Maybe because they are like I am. I'm a regular lurker, and
would be gone in a flash if I was "required" to post. I
read the list for insight and information - and don't have
the current background to keep up. (About a decade ago, I
graduated with a degree in Computer Information Science, but
things happened. Science, whether biological or physical,
was not my best subject. Nor have I read all the background
material for the list.) I can follow most posts, but can
get lost on the technical ones.
If there was anything I could pop in and post an intelligent
reply to, I might. Like everyone else, I have a time
problem - there's not enough hours in the day to do all I'd
like and need to. Sometimes I can't even keep up with my
email, and have to delete quite a bit. I wish I did have
the time to help out a little or fly to the extropian
meetings, or have the money to join.
So post on, please :) And, as my mother says - if you don't
pitch in, then you have no right to complain.
Theresa
