Bush, according to Molly Ivins (a texas political columnist of a liberal
persuasion, and generally funny), has actually paid little more than lip service
to the fundies who got him elected to the Govnuhs seat in Texas. I think
national dems like Gore are sufficiently liberal enough that most fundies would
be happy just to not have 'that man' in the office, just as fundie texans were
happy to not have 'that woman' (Anne Richards) in Austin.
