can get them to burn ethanol (letting a bottle of methanol lying
around the house is asking for trouble, whether you have children, or
no), you can make a robogotchi with a thirst for high-proof
hooch. Your robogotchi would start pawing you for vodka, when its
energy resources will be running low. You could also make it find its
feeder (filled with spirits) automatically.
It's more fun that way, and fuel cells have a higher energy density
than batteries.
