I feel obliged to let everyone know that various channels have led me to
suspect that there is in fact a shadow society, whose dynamics,
factions, etc., are as yet unclear, comprising people who intend to
guide--or possibly defer--singularity by point application of
overwhelming force.
I don't have a lot of details, but my working name for them is SSBN:
[The] Secret Society of Boffin Nukers.
Beware. Eugene is outspoken enough that he is disqualified from
membership. It's the ones you don't hear from that are the most
dangerous. I think. But maybe Eugene only... Damn. This is trickier than
I thought.
This begs many questions, such as whether there is a Secret Society of
Boffin Nuker Neutralizers.
Mike, worried all the time now.
"If you aren't part of the solution, what are you doing SCUMMING UP THE
BOTTOM OF MY BEAKER?!"
