This is a link regarding work by Geron (watch their stock price tommorow)
and Duke University about using telomerase as a target for a universal
cancer vaccine. If I understand correctly, it would be a vaccine which
trains the immune system to attack telomerase producing sources.
If it turns out that the telomere theory of aging is correct, and that
telomerase can prevent/reverse aging, what's the workaround to create an
anti-aging therapy which is not attacked by the subject's own immune system?
(besides not getting the cancer vaccine in the first place).
