You might want to talk to Carel Struycken, the actor who played Lurch in the
Adams Family movies, and also Mr. Homm in TNG, and the pawn broker in B5.
Carel - last time I spoke with him - was producing/directing a series for
Dutch television on cutting edge breakthru technologies. He is certainly
aware of and seems generally sympathetic to extropian ideas. Carel created
the first digital post movie studio in Hollywood before he got hooked into
acting, and he programs virtual reality environments for therapy for
recovering disabled people in his spare time.
