I use an application called WebFerret to search a whole bunch of different
search engines, more than dogpile or google do. Its resident on my machine, so I
don't have to wait for the search engine page to load, and it returns a list of
all the pages, their descriptions, etc. in a 'file manager' format, free of ads
and other useless graphics. I think this is the way things are going, where a
user can add any number of search engines to the list that they want their
search app to reference.
