Can't help you with this one. Tipler (in his reclusiveness) never seemed to state that he believed in religion, merely that the ultimate future appeared to closely resemble some religious aspects regarding eschatology. Most dogmatic scientists, yes I do use that word, dogmatism, purposefully, simply disregard Tipler, because he messes with their world view. Of the attacks, I have seen in the last six years; most seem not to disagree with the physics behind it. But they are dead set against making conclusions regarding the future universe, that might include any resemblences to what religion had sugested. That is where Tipler has gotten his chops busted.

Really, I am starting to have my doubts about if Tipler is such a good help=20
to transhumanism at ALL! I tend this a lot, someone looks around the=20
Internet for information about extropianism/ transhumanism finds Tipler and=20
bloody WHAM we're religious kooks, with no basis in reality. I am not making=
=20
any argument about the feasiblity of his theories I just notice that they=20
hurt us a lot. The basic connotation of Omega point theory=3D it's nutty=20
religion.
What to do?
Sincerely,
Waldemar
