That being the case, we need not worry that a super-intelligent robot may
threaten civilization.
Forget the Singularity.
If it can't form good support groups, establish trust and relationships, and
rise up the ranks of its profession to be rewarded, then it will just have to
settle for odd jobs and second class status, no matter how smart it is.
