Hey, I just saw this message. Not snubbing you, just missed it in the flow.
I'm a lot like Satan; if you want to get my attention, include "emlyn"
somewhere in your message, and *flash* I will appear in a cloud of
sulphurous ash.
Well, we'll get the CD together soon, soon (ah, soon). We did finish it,
then the studio lost our final takes (yay, love that), and since then we've
moved city, had a bouncing baby boy, all kinds of stuff going on.
Anyway, we are currently (really) working on a script for a musical based
partly on that music, very TH, about the leadup to the Singularity (and
culminating in it), lots of cool themes re: science vs nature dualism,
ethics of remaking yourself and the universe, and all kinds of other good
stuff; trying to combat the frankenstein meme set. And, of course, it's a
musical, so it's a love story.
The feedback we had about the music said over and over again "should be a
musical", so we're doing it. Don't hold your breath, it might take a while.
Meanwhile, I really want to do some more music soon (time's pretty limited
just now), so you should see something.
Emlyn (of The Land Canaan, amongst other things)
(collaboration with Artichikin? Watch this space...)
