Well of course they do, from the Olympian heights of pure theory you don't
have to worry about legacy applications, Microsoft doesn't have that luxury.

Microsoft spends about 18% of sales on research and development, that's a huge
percentage for such a large corporation, higher than nearly any other company
except for tiny startups less than 1% its size.

What do you mean like LINUX, we have LINUX. We have Windows too, may the
best model for developing software win.
