Yes, it's both sad and funny how so many crazy laws like that are still on
the book. In certain parts of the US, vagrancy is still a crime and in one
town I knew of was defined as having less than five dollars on one's person
and loittering. (And loittering is often listed as a crime too!:/)
One idea that a local Libertarian Party group had several years ago was to
challenge the local governments to rescind these laws. E.g., go to a town
council meeting and ask them to get rid of the vagrancy law. The sheer
volume of these laws might keep such bodies busy for quite some time. I'd
take that to be an added bonus. Any takers?
