Truth is, I don't know. I rely on modern telecomm to work for clients all around the country and the world. I know that they do have phones, and increasing amounts of fiber, around the Lake Tahoe area. From contacts with friends, I know there are a lot of high-tech startups in the Grass Valley / Nevada City area, where I find myself this afternoon, but it's in territory claimed by the People's Republic of California, and at only 2500', it gets hot here in the summer. That's when we head back to the High Country...
On an unrelated note, I really enjoy your consistent efforts to illuminate the clueless about the virtues of self-defense. Thanks, Mike!
