However, these projections assume a continuation of the comically
wasteful way in which we use power today, simply because we
have so much of it, free, just waiting to be pumped out of the ground.
If energy were to cost more, we might get a little smarter about its use,
but in the meantime, what argument could I offer my humvee driving
neighbor as to why this is not a good thing? spike
