My impression was that E. Shaun Russell had made a valid point, by
demonstration, about the necessity for qualifying statements. Even
Newtonian gravitation was disproven; even so reliable a perception as
the Sun rising can be false-to-fact. Yes, everyone on the list knows
about the phenomenon, but everyone already knows about the necessity for
qualification as well. If anyone's going to refight that old argument,
then E. Shaun Russell made a valid, and standard, point. As stated, I
perceived this as part of the general smartness on the Extropians list.
