I don't know what you mean by "upset" in this context. Certainly, female
cats protecting their young from male cats seem "upset" when a male is on
the prowl or attacking. Since we have no way yet of communicating with cats
and other nonhuman animals -- even though I've seen a lot of work in this
area -- it's hard to say if it goes deeper than thatg.
