I think if the system works the "they tried to cheat!" case never happens, so anyone relying on income from that event will go broke. And it's possible for you to prove you paid the watcher, and possible for watcher to prove they were watching, but not possible for the watcher to prove they notified you. Thus I think it's more likely you pay a tiny amount in advance every month. Fortunately, I know some clever people designing a micropayment network we can use... Cheers, Rusty.
