I'll see if I can get around to doing something next week.  (I
recently got up the nerve to finally check the P2P Blog dashboard
again and found it, at least for the time being, didn't have the
horrible formatting problems I'd experienced.  If I find it's still in
acceptable working order, I'll probably do something on the topic).

I'd already seen the Gladwell article and thought it was fundamentally
wrong-headed.  He assumes the level of effort required for a movement
to succeed is basically a constant, and then evaluates the comparative
effectiveness of different methods in providing that level of effort.
But in fact technology has created a fundamental change in the effort
threshold required for taking on large organizations, and shifted the
balance of power in the offensive-defensive arms race (what Robb calls
"super-empowerment").
