hi sepp, I don't agree at all with the premise above, which ignores social
dimensions, but, they mention something perhaps worth of looking into, if
you have some time:

which if deployed today in Social Media could accomplish this.  These
business methods are committed to the public domain.  The only thing
standing in the way is a social agreement."
