Subject: [fcf_discussion] Proposals for the future
To: fcforum_discussion at list.fcforum.net
We have discuss in the board the following proposals:
*1 - Launching the FcForum 2010 from the 28 to the 31 of octobre 2010:*
The idea with the Fcforum 2010 is to focus on specific topics instead of
mapping the larger issues as last year.
Even, to address issues not in general terms but from a concrete perspective
on "real" challenges and planning specific outcomes to address them at the
fcforum 2010.
4 are the topics for 210:
A) - journalism, coordinated by Wikileeaks and some member of the spanish
Red-SOStenible.
B) - business models (artist life, sustainability for several formats of
cultural production (books, films etc) and sustainability of open
collaboration and also e.open economy), coordinated by exgae with many
external colaborations.
C) - research for action, (to build a network of research centers (academic
and not) on the areas linked to "free culture") coordinate by Mayo.
D) - "open data" (open governmental data, and open of any data that is
produced by taxpayer's money) probaly coordinate by Jeremie Zimmerman.
*
1.2 - The oXcars 2010 (28 of octobre):*
The oXcars are expanding to other areas (free solfware, open data, open
access research etc). Vivan los oXcars!!!!!!
You can propose till end of april any candidate you like but have to be
"spectacular" ;-)
*
1.3 - Referendum: *
Eddan will probably coordinate during the FcForum 2010 the launching of the
campaign of "one million signatures across Europe as part of the European
Citizens' Initiative aspect of the Lisbon Treaty", on IP exceptions.
*
2 - Launching of the 2.0 version of the Charter:*
This would be soon.
With also the suggestions in the workshops and endorsments, we have add an
"hawto" guidde that you can make better.
We are preparing the video of it.
The idea is to get on the 2.5 during the FcForum 2010. This will probably be
coordinate by Jeremy Malcolm
One more thing: the OSI will support the creation of the contents for
journalism and for new economical models, but we will have no money at all
this year to pay any travel expenses :-(. Sorry for that.
What do you think?
All the best
Simona
