                             Greetings,

   One of the best examples of democracy blended with capitalism is the
collection of enterprises in the Mondragon
Cooperative<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondragon_Corporation>,
from the Basque region of Spain.

The Cooperative dates back to 1956 and includes banks, educational
institutions, factories and a major supermarket
chain<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eroski>,
but it's little known. Calvert co-founder Terry
Mollner<http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/yi-tan/Terry_Mollner?wikiPageId=1663205>visited
the Cooperative in 1979 and recently wrote a great
description of it<http://www.trusteeship.org/Articles/Trusteeship_Mondragon_theLovingSociety.html>,
calling it a herald of the coming Relationship Age -- a term I very much
like.

With Terry, let's discuss:

   - How is Mondragon different from other industrial organizations? What
   processes stand out?
   - How are its outcomes different? What can corporations learn from
   Mondragon?
   - What is the Relationship Age?
   - What are the prospects for cooperatives worldwide?
