Dear Alex,
I must again witness the use of redirects which make the editing of
individual pages impossible,
needless to say I don't agree that one person takes over multiple entries
this way ...
I copy the example below so that people can see what I'm talking about,
related concepts like commnal ownership, common ownership, common resource
have different technical meanings and obviously I want to honour those
different meanings,
in this case, if you want to alert people to another concept that is
related, a see also reference is most approproriate,
since I don't feel your responsive to my concerns,
I propose the following,
- in case of abusive redirects, I will create a new page, with 2 behind, so
that it is still searchable independently, it's crazy that I have to do
this, but since I want to avoid to and fro edit wars, I see no other
possiblity,
- I will systematically block all the new pages I create from now on,
needless to say I'm extremely saddened that I have to do this, but I see no
other solution ..
here is my feeling:
- there is a house where people have lived a few years, it's not perfect,
but not a mess either, as the people are diligent in organizing their space;
they happen to like to use organic detergent for the dishwashing ... a guest
shows up, and says, oh my god, you are using organic detergent, you are mad,
here is a much more efficient chemical formula, henceforth you will use
this, and I'll throw away your organic detergent so you can't use it anymore
...
I think it is obvious that the people in the house won't be happy with this
new state of affairs ...
Let me state this clearly: LANGUAGE IS A COMMONS, and no individual owns
concepts and can lock them away under exclusive control, please refrain from
such redirects ...
I must again also state that before you started cooperating, I could always
simply solve matters by friendly letters and asking people to undo a
redirect, and the matter was always solved without having to go on a
warhorse, but I frankly, given my experience with our previous exchange, see
no other solution ...
I hope that one day you will again respect the work of other intensive users
and not impose your solutions on them, and just respond to request instead
of holding on to your personal views ..
I give you full freedom to write up common resource, but please do not take
away my freedom to edit the entry on communal ownership ..
